I used switch for hood over wood stove hooked to duct fan as backup to electric heat pump on real cold days works good blows heat up from basement turns on when hot off when cooled down

Just plugged it in and it works!

Tried wiring up the 15 year old sensor on our Superior fireplace. It didn't work so off to Amazon in search of a replacement. Ordered this one Monday evening, arrived on Thursday. Very strong magnet. Slid the 2 wires over the connector lugs, turned on the fireplace and in a few minutes the fan started! Turned the fireplace off and upon returning from a walk (~30 minutes) the fan was off. So based on a single test everything looks good. I'll update this review if anything changes as we head into the heating season.

Magnetic temperature switch.

Installed on our mountain home fireplace to use as a backup to our furnace. Wired in series with our blower so when the switch closes at temperature the blower fan runs and then shuts off after the switch cools down and opens when the fireplace is off.
