This 1/2-inch inside diameter hose has the BTU capacity needed for 30-inch and larger grills fro use with natural gas. The 3/8-inch diameter hoses readily available at home improvement store top out at 60,000 BTU/hour. Using the smaller hose could leave your grill 'gas starved' - resulting in poor performance. This hose is 12 feet long, is stripwound with fully interlocking metal core and crimped-on end fittings. It is temperature resistant to 240-degrees F, has 400 pound longitudinal pull strength, and stays flexible in cold temperatures. It will not kink or crush. It includes 1/2-inch quick disconnect fitting on one end, and 3/8-inch flare on the other.

perfect match

The gas hose on my natural gas Weber Summit grill was leaking from a wear spot. No local replacement could be found, and on-line Weber sites wanted outrageous prices. I wasn't sure about this hose when I ordered it from Amazon, but it's an exact match to the original. Between the price difference and free shipping, it saved me $40. Thanks, Amazon!

Works Great on my NG Generator

I have a 1/2" natural gas pipe in the rear of my home, and I used this natural gas hose to connect to my Tri-fuel PowerLand Generator. The hose was large enough to feed the generator. A 3/8" hose will starve a NG generator. This appears to be a good quality hose and very flexible.

Wrong size grill connection

Hose came sealed in the plastic bag with a 1/2 inch flare connection rather than the advertised 3/8 inch grill connection.
